New York Interiors
In his first monograph, globally renowned interiors photographer Simon Upton captures on camera his most-loved destination – the city of New York – and the eclectic, glamorous and fashionable homes of New York’s citizens. The book includes a foreword by Rupert Thomas, editor-in-chief of The World of Interiors. Our design approach for the book took a bold and dramatic route in reflecting the subject matter, with the cover referencing the yellow and black identity of New York taxis, and the typography with its uncompromising and vertical letterforms echoing the dynamic architecture of the city. All of this helped provide a framework to present the diversity of Simon’s images of these incredible homes. Structured in two halves – City and Getaway – the book showcases city living from uptown to downtown, as well as the chic retreats of the Hamptons and other exclusive weekend destinations.
