ISTD International Typographic Awards Judging weekend

This last weekend (5–6 June) Grade Creative Director, Peter Dawson, was invited to help out in support of the judging at this year's ISTD International Typographic Awards. Working with the Board Members of the ISTD, Peter assisted in the setting up, organisation and cataloguing of the entries with the process lasting from Friday afternoon through to Sunday afternoon.

The judging event was hosted by digital media agency Poke London, in Shoreditch. Grade have entered the competition with a number of our publishing projects, but with nearly 200 entries from around the world, whether we have been successful we will have to wait until September to find out at the planned awards night. We'll have our fingers crossed!

'Thou Shall not use Comic Sans'

Peter has been invited to co-author a new title aimed at the budding graphic designer, working with 3 other designers, the book will be structured as a 'rule a day' in a light-hearted and accessible manner. Published by Quid Publishing later in 2011.
