Identity and Sub-brands for the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain (NYCGB). The challenge we were set was to create a standalone identity that could
be easily adapted to identify the differing types of choirs that NYCGB consisted of: Laudibus, Junior, Training, Senior Choir and general choirs. The core identity was formed around the
N of National which could work as a standalone marque but when formats/media allowed
the N motif could be extended
to read NYC and the horizontal bars reflect musical bars as if NYC was being played out.
The use of a distinctive and
bold colour scheme was also employed to create further distinction between the choirs. This also acted as a useful visual aid in programme notes to create distinction when the choirs were performing.
